Vila Tartini Wedding

The concept

Colour was the starting point for this Vila Tartini wedding — not as an addition to the decoration, but as the primary design tool from which the entire visual language of the celebration developed.

The details

Working with strong colour requires restraint. The line between considered boldness and visual noise is remarkably thin. Rather than introducing as many shades as possible, we gave each colour its own place, weight and purpose within the space.

Vila Tartini presented another layer to the design. Its historic architecture, proportions, materials and Mediterranean surroundings already carry a distinctive identity. Our intention was never to transform or disguise the venue, but to create a dialogue between what was already there and what we introduced.

Intense colour and unexpected, almost sculptural forms were placed against the villa's existing character. At times the contrast was deliberate; elsewhere, colours were drawn from tones already present in the architecture and landscape.

Throughout the wedding, colour was introduced at different scales. Some tones became large, almost architectural surfaces, while others appeared only in carefully placed details. Colours repeated across furniture, textiles, glassware, candles, fruit and floral compositions, connecting the different spaces into one visual language.

Equally important was what we chose to leave untouched. Areas of visual calm and negative space allowed the stronger interventions to retain their impact. When everything is an accent, nothing is.

Colour ultimately determined more than how the wedding looked. It established the rhythm of the space, guided the eye and created a contemporary layer within the historic setting of Vila Tartini.

The result was not simply a colourful wedding. It was a space built with colour.
